Full Heart Moon

Can you feel the emotional ocean?
Yes, the one rolling around your heart…the one whose tide has been rising for days, or even weeks now, and whose waves are beginning to engulf the ships of all the other things? The wild ocean, whose emotional pitch is reaching a feverish intensity, and beginning to drown out so many other sounds? Well, some of you can and some of you can’t perhaps, but I do, so I knew I had to write about the pull of this unbelievable moon, which will be full on Saturday.
At first I thought it was just me. It usually starts that way, and let me tell you sometimes it is…just me. But just about the time I think I am losing it altogether I realize it is usually something bigger. That’s when I check in on other levels to see what other influences, which there are so many of in our time especially, might be at play. That’s when I saw the energies this moon is carrying on the inner planes, and felt the intensity it is brewing up in the heart.
The universe and benevolent energies within it are using this moon to reach right into our hearts and make them stir, and move, and churn, and burn. The moon is emotional by nature, so when she is in her full power she is like a mirror of our deepest and most internal being. In this way she is helping us all to experience a heart atunement at this time, in preparation for what is coming next for each of us, and for the world. For this reason I have called this a “full heart moon.”
The stirring of the heart has caused the oceanic waters within it to rise, like a high tide of the heart onto the shores of our being. It may feel revealing, exposing, and emotionally overwhelming. Some of the emotion will be clearly tied to things occurring in your life, while other of it will seem totally unrelated to anything you can pinpoint. It can be very disconcerting. Take heart. Because the rising waters are carrying important treasures up from the bottom of your being, and after the full moon passes and it begins to wane again, these waters will fall back and leave those treasures on the beaches of your awareness…out in the open and accessible. Then they can be incorporated into your life and outer being, and enjoyed.
Some of these “treasures” have been there a very long time, and have been kept there because you did not think they were very beautiful or perfect when you put them there. Some didn’t feel safe to have out in the open of your being, but they are needed now. Only in allowing them to emerge will you see how they are transformed, or be able to see the same thing with new eyes that reveal their original perfection. Still, the emergence can feel much more like drudging useless and painful waste up from a place you wish you could leave it. It will be worth it in the end though, and easier to allow if you know what is actually happening, and that there is nothing ugly about it.
It takes courage to do this. And for those of us who have little to ground us in the world, or few companions on the path, it can be even more painful and difficult. Take refuge if you can find it…and if at all possible take refuge within the very place of challenge. Take yourself down to the shore of your heart and watch the moon pulling the waters over all the land…and when it does, if you can… dive inside. Try to remember you have, in the deepest and truest sense, nothing to lose, and nothing to hide…especially from yourself.
If you can dive in, then there is nothing left to fear or be ashamed of. It is all welcome and part of you. It is not at any distance. It may be confusing, and make your identity as malleable and mutable as paper that has become wet and is dissolving away slowly. But whatever is real about you won’t…and that is the whole point, I believe.

I want to thank those of you who are reading these words for the first time and have never been here before, and I want to thank those of you who have been reading the words I write and engaging with my work for years. I want to thank those of you from dozens of countries, and states of being, for holding your hearts up to mine, just by being here now and connecting through my words. For they are not my words, really. They are yours too. Such is the path of the Oracle, and since we are each one, we come here to decide how to best accept this fate and embrace this gift…how to hold our hearts up to the Universe’s, and listen for the common beat.
Thank you for touching me, for trusting yourselves enough to move through this world as gifted individuals at the dawn of a time that will finally know how to make space for us again, and welcome our sensitive richness and bold intensity, and to hold us. Hold on. You will be held.
