I’ve said a lot recently about the journey of the Lightning Path, a path of “rapid results” as taught by the lightning nymphs of Dodona, material I’ll be teaching in my upcoming course…
I don’t know many people who wouldn’t like rapid results, and I’ve been living this path all year and getting the results at a staggering rate…
But there is something the lightning path must be rooted in, in order to be successful. It has to be grounded, which makes sense, and is why even many generations later the Priestesses at Dodona were known to always walk with bare feet.
As I’ll be teaching in the course, grounding on the earth is not enough though…we have to ground into the body so deeply to run the current of “lightning” and bring things into being so quickly. And to do that, these nymphs and priestesses used the equally-important path of the senses…the slow path of the sensual. That is how they could tap into the true desire and nourishment that guides the lightning path. Energy isn’t enough. The soul and body must be aligned. There must be sustenance so profound at a core level that when the energy meets it, there is true alchemy. This is now the nymphs shapeshifted, how they created such rapid manifestation.
I recently began to speak of the story that just started coming through for my next book of a Priestess of Dodona named Phoibe who begins to have memories of having been a lightning nymph, one hot summer night walking the temple grounds. What she quickly realizes is that she felt this “white heat” once before…when she kissed her friend while they were laying in the flowers…
They began to experience this instant manifestation because they were in the slow and sensual, immersed in flowers and nature, and also had the current of the white lightning running through them…but Phoibe didn’t know what it was yet, and pulled back from the fullness of it.
If lightning sounds like too much, there’s good reason…it takes a building of these sensual practices for some time before the current can run clearly, like clean electricity that can be directed as you wish…
