Complete Trust
Wednesday, August 3rd, 2005
All day and all night, those of us who are aware strive for perfection. The sun sets and the moon rises and we know we are surrounded by the perfection of the universe, that it is a symphony without a single wrong note. And yet we are also surrounded by what seems like an unbearable world sometimes, and the unbearable seeming parts of ourselves as well.
We want to always present grace and love. We want to hold truth above all else. We want to give our highest and best at all times. And when we fall short it is only a vigilant beam of self-forgiveness that can free us again.
We wait. We wait to give our gift until everything is “perfect”, not always knowing that the perfection comes from the universe in response to our acts of trust.
With the help of a loving family member I recently created a sound healing CD of toning and chanting. For its creation I had to surrender even more deeply to the will of the universe and of the wonderful beings who wished to sing through me and reach many others with their songs.
I opened myself as I do in a healing session or event, to bring through the most healing energies of these beings in direct transmission to be recorded and offered to the world. It was a birth giving.
The situations that ask the most of us are often the ones that are requesting our surrender to a deeper level of trust. As some very good friends of mine once said to me, “Is there any room for fear in complete trust?”
I remind myself of that question often, and aspire to that level of trust every day. The things that remind us to trust are the little healing gifts that open every door for us. Ask yourself what you have been challenged to trust more in your life, and what unseen perfection may lie therein.
The Lion’s Gate
July 7th, 2005

A portal opens today. Can you feel it? In the dozens and hundreds of astrological alignments I have heard and read about in my lifetime that were deemed to have tremendous energetic impact, this is the one I have felt the most intensely.
As the sun rises tomorrow and the days following for a month or so, be aware that the star Sirius is rising also, the morning star is reentering our lives with the sun. The lioness is unfolding her golden glory and the portal she is opening will flood supportive energies into our lives. Just as the nile flooded at this time every year for the Egyptians. The nile may be dammed now, but nothing has stopped sirius from rising and bringing on the energetic flood.
And now because we need it more than ever. There is nothing you need to do to invite it, just feel the wave lifting you up and natural gratitude will flow from you. You may invoke the lion goddess Sekhmet by lighting a candle in her name, or holding a fire ceremony. For the Egyptian new year has arrived, and for each of our ancient selves it is a new birth. A time to celebrate what is coming. So if you have long held unanswered prayers, don’t give up. Keep scattering seeds over and over, and where it was dry the waters will rise, and they will sprout and flourish. If you are tired or weary, invite Sekhmet to hold you in her brilliant arms and carry you to the waters.
Drink of them. Nourish yourselves and allow the energetic waters to wash over the dry spaces within, and fill any tiny hollows with nourishing life force. Sirius is back again, and good will is overcoming. The ancient will that holds all and knows all, is enveloping us. Explore this portal, and let Sekmhet lead you through it, to a place you may have waited forever for, and yet never parted from.
From the heart of the Lion.
