The full moon and the parade of luminous energies at her climax of expression have finally passed, and a paradoxically stormy calm settles in. My, my what a time it has been.
I am happy with the stormy calm and feel the presence of Pluto shifting her powerful gears today. I feel that the last two weeks have been intense preparation for a time of definite change and unfoldment of many new and deeply saught energies. There is a greater spring at hand than the one that unfurls itself outside my windows.
I read an astrological report yesterday on Pluto’s move into retrograde today and its potential effects, and found it a very fitting description of what I have been feeling. Now is another time that whatever does not serve our highest path will be completely expelled from our lives. First it will rear up as some huge sign that we can’t ignore and if we try to ignore it anyway, it will be made more and more plain until we are unable to. It is time to clear what has only half-served and therefore make room for what we really and truly desire, dream of, and pray for. It is funny how sometimes we have been praying for something for such a long time that we don’t recognize the answer right away when it comes.
So what is called for in this time of death and rebirth? Play…Innocence…and Imagination. We sometimes speak highly of the “inner child” as if it were a lovely miniature on the shelf. It is a wonderful experience to adapt your idea of play into what you love now, to stay current and present with who you are. That is innocence. That is the tap right into the source, into the field of all possibilities of which we are all made. We have turned “imagination” into “creative imagery” to sound a little more grown up, but when was the last time you really used your imagination to see what might come next in your life? Not prediction based on current situations or outdated expectations, but pure, unreasonable, imagination.
Every time our dog Gino excitedly bursts out the door into the yard each morning it is new for him. An entirely new world in which absolutely anything can happen. Imagine miracles. Yes, again.
